This Privacy Policy explains how the Customer Research Clipperbrowser extension (the “Extension”) handles your information. The Extension lets you capture selected text from web pages into your CLRA workspace.
The Extension collects only the data needed to provide its single purpose — capturing research evidence into your CLRA account:
Account information. When you sign in, we process your email address and password to authenticate you with CLRA. Authentication tokens are stored locally in your browser via chrome.storage.local.
Content you choose to capture. When you select text and tag it, that selected text and the URL of the page it came from are saved to your CLRA workspace. We do not capture entire pages or browsing history.
We do not track your browsing activity or the pages you visit.
We do not collect data from pages unless you actively select and capture text.
We do not sell or share your data with third parties for advertising, and we do not use your data for purposes unrelated to the Extension’s functionality.
Information is used solely to authenticate you, save the evidence you capture to your workspace, and display your previously captured notes. Captured content is transmitted over an encrypted connection (HTTPS) to CLRA’s backend, hosted on Supabase, and stored in association with your account.
Your captured notes are stored in your CLRA workspace for as long as your account is active. You can delete individual notes at any time from within CLRA. Authentication tokens stored locally are cleared when you sign out of the Extension.
The Extension requests browser permissions strictly to deliver its features: storage to keep you signed in, contextMenus for the right-click capture option, tabs to open your CLRA workspace, and host access so the capture toolbar can appear on the pages where you do research.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above.
